Welcome to RCA Admissions!

The deadline for submitting applications for the fifth grade class of 2014-2015 school year has passed.  We will open the online application process later this fall for those interested in becoming a fifth grader in the 2015-2016 school year.  To prepare, please read on to learn about our process and visit our Student FAQ page for more information regarding admissions.

The Ron Clark Academy selects students who we feel will receive the most benefit from our innovative approaches to education. During the selection process, we focus on students applying to enter the 5th grade from all academic levels, ranging from gifted students to those who have untapped potential.  (We do not accept applications for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades). 

The Ron Clark Academy is inclusive, benefiting students regardless of gender, race, socio-economic status or religion. Families are asked to pay tuition on a sliding scale that is designed to make the Academy affordable for all children. To determine what your potential tuition cost estimate will be please see our Monthly Tuition Scale. As part of acceptance to the Academy, parents are required to sign a Contract of Obligation. This document pledges their support of the Academy's discipline and attendance policies and commitment to the academic pursuits of their children. Parents are also required to donate 40 hours per school year to the Academy, volunteering, tutoring, working at concession stands, attending PTA meetings, and participating in workshops where our teachers will review the curriculum that is being taught in the classrooms.

Please note the following Key Dates Related to the Admissions Process:

Admissions Process:

  1. Completion of the online application, including submission of a copy of your child’s birth certificate, teacher reference form and his/her complete school records; additional letters of recommendation are optional – We will begin accepting materials on October 1, 2014 and all material must be turned in before or postmarked by November 1, 2014.
  2. The Admissions Selection Committee will then determine which students will continue in the process for interviews.  Interview Notifications will be sent on or before January 10, 2015.  
  3. Student/ Parent interviews are scheduled to be held throughout January & February of 2015.
  4. Final Decision Notifications will be sent on or before April 1, 2015
