RCAs First Trip - North CarolinaRCA students recently took a trip to Eastern North Carolina to visit Mr. Clark's hometown. While there, they toured the campus of East Carolina University, attended classes, rode in the homecoming parade, and visited the outer banks. They also joined Mr. Clark on the field during the homecoming game as Mr. Clark received the Outstanding Alumni Award. The trip was filled with exciting moments and many surprises as the students attended several banquets, met all of the ECU football players, cheered the team on to victory and finished the weekend by rolling down the sand dunes at Kitty Hawk. It was truly a magical experience.
The students had the opportunity to visit the beach and spend time at the home of Wanda Burgamy, Dell representative and RCA board member. As we walked across the street and began to climb the sand dune which led to the ocean, we started to see the ocean on the other side. Within seconds, the students were running toward the water as fast as they could! They all couldn't wait to stick their hands in the water and "feel the ocean!"
A bit windy.
