RCA Welcomes the New Kids on the Block

One by one they checked-in – 31 rising fifth graders – the new kids on the block.  The Ron Clark Academy proudly greeted its incoming class of students on Saturday, May 17th.  The picnic/bbq was held on the Academy campus, where students, parents of current students, and the entire RCA staff and faculty welcomed its newest family members.
The afternoon was filled with food, games, and a bake-off contest.  After announcing each of the new students, it was time to meet and greet.  All new students were matched with current students, who could answer any questions and concerns.  The first day of school for all students will be Tuesday, September 2, 2008.
