RCA Students Travel to Florida for an Ultimate Life Experience

Tajee Richard

On July 18th, two very deserving Ron Clark Academy students and two faculty members will travel to Orlando, Florida, for a life-changing experience. Each year, the Magic Wand Foundation hosts a five day conference for teenagers and teachers from around the globe to interact, exchange ideas, and learn how to be better stewards in their respective communities.

The goal of the Magic Wand Foundation is to directly and indirectly empower young people to take purposeful action in their lives today, so that they can live a more fulfilling life tomorrow. Through its annual Ultimate Life Summit and Ultimate Life University, teenagers and educators learn strategies from youth achievement experts on how to align unique strengths and passion to achieve life fulfillment. On the educator side, faculty members participate in daily workshops that explore ways to better engage students from different backgrounds and realize their full potential. At the same time, these experts will work with the teenagers through daily workshops that offer tools designed to hone in on the students' natural talents and help them discover ways to use these gifts to make a difference in the world.

The students selected to attend the Ultimate Life Summit are rising 8th grader Richard Douglas and rising 7th grader Tajee Barnes. They will be accompanied by staff members Kenneth Adams and Lazarus Bruner, who will participate in the Ultimate Life University.
