RCA Students Head to Utah

Utah1

Each year, Jeff Anderson and Audio Enhancement host our students in Salt Lake City, Utah. On Thursday, December 10th, RCA students traveled across the country for a weekend full of fun winter activities. To our surprise, we were invited to spend the weekend in a beautiful cabin in the mountains that accommodated all 45 in our group.  We were surrounded by tons of snow, moose and deer, warm fires and lots of hot chocolate.  A virtual paradise!

While in Salt Lake City, we visited Audio Enhancement to meet with superintendents from all over the state of Utah.  Mr. Clark spoke for the group, and, as a thank you to the team at Audio Enhancement, our students performed holiday favorites for the audience.

Once lunch was over, we began preparations for a night of snow tubing!  The students had a blast journeying down 300 yard slopes at rapid speeds.  Hot cocoa and impromptu snow ball fights truly made the night memorable for everyone.

The next morning, we all set out early for a day of snow-boarding and skiing. Although most were first-timers, many of the students caught on quickly and were soon taking on the more experienced slopes. After a day out on the mountain, we traveled back to the cabin for a night of snow ball fights, sledding, and more hot cocoa!

To top our weekend of experiences, we were invited to attend the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s annual holiday concert. The choir, along with special featured guest and legend Natalie Cole, performed many timeless holiday classics through song and dance. The concert showcased the amazing talent and creativity of the choir, and it was truly an experience the students will always cherish.
