RCA Students Keep Their Promise

Ron Clark Academy students are fulfilling a promise they made leading up to the Presidential election.  After the popularity of their song You Can Vote However You Like, students made a pledge that they would create a new song for the President-Elect...either John McCain or Barack Obama.  Now that we know the President-Elect is Barack Obama, the song has been written and is ready to be heard.  Students wrote the lyrics themselves – collectively as a group.  The song is called “Dear Obama,” and not only do the students thank their future leader for his leadership, but they also encourage him to follow through on the promises he made while campaigning.

Students are anxious for the song to reach President-Elect Obama so that their voices can be heard.  They’re also hopeful that this may lead to an invitation to perform at the Inauguration in Washington, DC.

CNN was one of the first news outlets to hear to the song.  Click here to view the story.
