Sunday, November 22, 2009 Atlanta CEO Council Chooses The Ron Clark Academy for 10th Anniversary Fundraiser Exclusive business organization to support innovative school
ATLANTA, November 22, 2009 – The Atlanta CEO Council is proud to announce The Ron Clark Academy as the recipient of its first community fundraising effort in celebration of its 10th anniversary. Replacing the regular December event, the Atlanta CEO Council will hold its networking event at The Ron Clark Academy, 228 Margaret Street, Atlanta. While attendance at Atlanta CEO Council events is free, attendance at this special event requires a minimum donation of $50 per person.
The Atlanta CEO Council is reaching out to members, alumni, sponsors and top Atlanta companies to support this unique educational entity that not only serves students, but also promotes effective teaching through its national teacher training program.. Donations will provide students with necessary items such as books, uniforms, supplies and tuition.
“One of the foundations of our organization is investment in our community,” said Palaniswamy “Raj” Rajan, Chairman and CEO of Virima Technlogies, co-founder and Chairman of the Council’s board of directors. “We believe that The Ron Clark Academy is an opportunity for CEO’s to invest in and promote our next generation of leaders and business innovators.”
